I've got an 83 gpz750. The factory service manual I have for it has a picture of a gpz750 on the front and the manual is called kz750 four, service manual.

If still legible, the manual itself may have a part number near bottom of rear cover.

Good Fortune! :)

How difficult is it to find OEM factory parts for these bikes ? Or has the parts supply long since been exhausted ?

Many GPZ900 Ninja parts are listed on ebay.

Could also check kawasaki.com for part numbers and availability of parts through kawasaki dealers.

When a specific part number is known, may do an ebay search using only the part number.

Imo, ought to snap up a good GPZ900 Ninja at the right price.

Good Fortune! :)

The only criticism recalled about the GPZ900 Ninja is with the water cooling system running a little too hot.

Can't recall whether that particular issue was ever fully resolved. But it might have been only a simple thermostat matter.

Good Fortune! :)

Yes this is correct, but there are solutions to this.

Check out this site:

www.gpzzone.co.uk/gpzforum/index.php

It's a UK site and $5 a year to join, but definitely worth it if you've got a GPz900. Excellent amount of info and resources and the members there can't wait to lend a hand. The site also has a parts store that carries hard to find parts and reproductions for the GPz900. :)

I swear to God, it's like I live in a trailer of common sense, and stare out the window at a tornado of stupidity.
