i had the clutch cover off of the kz so i could fit a support plate on her. this would make her ready for the drags.
its much safer at the drags. :woohoo:

so, fortunately , i was on the cbr6. it bounces :laugh:

i got in to see a surgeon on fri, and had the surgery on sat. 1 week after the crash.
he had to go in and put things back in place then put in plates top and bottom, then clean things up.
he said he needed to get any sharp edges removed so they would not wear on the joint . so i have a partial cast for 2 weeks, then an appointment to see him again . i think he will cut off the cast , remove the stitches , then recast. i think i will get a solid cast next.
surprisingly, it doesn't hurt too much. so far so good.

It's good to hear that you are on the mend. Are you going to need any physical therapy after you are finally un-cast?

i dont know for sure, i will ask the surgeon in 2 weeks.
the first surgeon, who couldn't fix me, said i may need some.
i hope not. it will be week for sure. i broke the same wrist as a teenager. i remember me lt arm being very week after i got the cast off.
it sucks trying to do things with 1 hand.
but i can still type :laugh:

My mother broke her wrist about 18 months ago. Both bones, she had to have pins, and then a hard cast. The doctor told her to expect quite a bit of physical therapy, but she got strong quite rapidly after the cast came off. I think they always try to prepare you for the worst. She's just fine now, just a bad memory.

that's good to here. i hope i have the same luck. i broke the same wrist as a teenager, and had no issues:) .
