1981 KZ1000 CSR - My first bike evah!
Bike cover suggestion for '81 KZ1000 CSR was created by apearson
Unfortunately, I don't have a garage yet (we are renting a house), so I will have to keep my bike on the back porch which is open, but covered. Can anyone recommend a good quality weatherproof/resistant cover that would fit an '81 KZ1000? Thanks.

i used to swear by dowco but they dont seem to offer a real canvas cover anymore. just the nylon types that melt. this go round i got me a parts unlimited black canvas cover. im not keen on the black but it is well made and has a good elastic lower part to keep it from flying away in the wind. go 1 size larger than you think you need...

The large/cruise size of this cover works perfectly.
Bike Cover - Walmart
Got one myself, on the same bike with a high backrest, works great for all weather.
Do it, just DO IT.

I've got a Classic Moto Gear Extreme that I Picked up at Wal Mart. It is the one for Sport Bikes and works very well. It actually has reinforcement in the areas that generally get hot and I'm very pleased with it. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I think it was less than $50 and I've had it for almost 2 years. It doesn't look like they sell it in stores anymore but here's a link. And if you use their site to store there's no shipping.

i keep my collection of stuff in a barn,so sometimes it doesnt feel much better than an open porch when its cold out anyway!
anyway i first cover things with an old blanket or sheet then i drape plastic over the top leaving bottem side open to let air get in to keep moisture from building up under there .
