Help, 80 KZ750E & 80 KZ1000 LTD frame measurement was created by 1977Greyghost
I,m looking at a K&G backrest from a 1980 KZ750E
and would like to know if it will work on my
1980 KZ1000 LTD without any major modifications. I know that it bolts to the frame but from looking at photos of a 1980 KZ750E the tail section appears to be completely different. Does anyone know if the frame dimensions are the same?
Thanks for your help.

1977greyghost,
Try editing the thread title to include something about 750e measurements. Perhaps that will get the right person's attention.

I have a K&G rear rack with adjustable back rest on my 82 1000 lTD. Bought it from a guy who had it on a CB650 Honda. Fit pretty easy with just some spacers needed at the rack to rear frame for it was wider. The rack on my 82 1100 is not K&G but has similar spacers to make it fit. These were a pretty universal fit product in their day. You should be able to make it swap over without much trouble.
