The one bike I wish that I still had was my 79 Yamaha Daytona Special. That was one mean ass bike. I traded it for a 71 Dodge Demon 340 four speed. I wrecked the Demon and was without one bad ass bike and one bad ass Dodge. Stupid Hurts

I do not have pics from back in those days (ex wife was spiteful) but theses are close to what I had

HAVE TO LOVE THOSE RD's..... DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

My bud had a RD350 back in the late 70's....
Little 2 strokers whas amazingly zippy, torquey and could scare the living poop out of anyone.... scariest fun ride ever....

And you should be ashamed for trading that Yami, a Daytona yet.... WTF is the matter with you... :P

Actually Goose (Bill) and I were speaking of this due to AZ supposedly changing emmission laws here in AZ... He has a Daytona set up for racing and if the laws do indeed change, get that bike up to perfection for street legal ops....

Ah well, we've all gone through those times where we wish... "If I only knew then what I know now".... Part of life....

Hey that 340 4 speed was one mean one too, thats how I wrecked it. I miss the pistol grip shifter that Mopar had.

next door neigbor had an rd350. I hardly ever saw the front end on the ground. Loved the sound of that thing as he came home from work. Friend had a rd400 with a back sisybar. He would wheelie it with me on the back, that got to be hairy as I weighed alot more than him. Last year a friend called me for help on a bike he was going to give his son. Lo and behold in his garage sat a rd350 in mint condition. Don't know where he got it but it got tuned up right pronto. I mentioned to him it was worth money and was very fast. He had no clue. He ended up giving it to his son who traded it for a car. If I had the money I would have bought that bike on the spot. This friend has a mopar just like the one in the pic. This summer I helped him put in a crower cam (it ate the mopar purple cam someting fierce) port the head and we had larger valves put in. Nice car, same color. It's an eye catcher to anyone who sees it and he painted it himself. He truley loves that car. And I'm start too as well. Only mistake he made was using stock pin height pistons when he rebuilt the 72 360, leaving the pistons down the bore. I about got him talked into tearing it apart just to remedy that. Wait a minute! what happened to motorcycles?

My ex made me sell my 72 Vega way back when. I think she knew I loved it more than I loved her.
