New KAWASAKI 1400 Police Bikes.

All I can say is WOW.
At 160 Hp+ I don't think much will stand a chance of getting away. The GTR is considered to be one of the most advanced bikes ever.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster to me, putting a cop on a bike that powerful? Sounds like you are going to wind up with a bunch of dead cops. As it is right now most cops will not engage in high speed pursuits with crotch rocket riders because they know they stand no chance of catching them. Giving them bikes like these will only ramp up the machismo factor and we will have high speed pissing contests between the squids and LEO's. JHMO.

That's what the fear was when they put them on KZ1000s. I guess they will have to spent more time on the riding course and less in the doughnut shop. :woohoo: Imagine in a few years the used Police bikes that will will available.

I'm sorry but to me this would be just crazy to put these bikes in the hands of law enforcement. The first time a cop wraps one of these around a tree or T-bones a mini van with a family inside the lawyers will have a field day.

Back in the day I was involved in a high speed police chase with me on a brand new Z-1R and the cop in a Crown Vic. He wouldn't have caught me if I hadn't crashed but that didn't stop him from chasing me. Probably explains why I don't much like Z-1R's or cops to this day.:laugh:

Most, if not all, motorcops have more training and more riding experiance then 99% of the non-motorcop riders. I can't think of a safer group to be on a 1400GTR.
Just caus you don't like them , doesn't make them bad riders.

No reason to get nasty. As the father of a fine police officer I find your words insulting. Please don't bulk all police into one category. Some are bad, but most are good, just like any profession. Just because you have a personal problem with police, doesn't mean you need to insult and disrespect them all.

I mean no disrespect but I think its crazy !!! Chances are slim to none that we on our z's could get away but Speaking to some of my rockit buddies They Welcom the chase most of them ride high end !@#t !! im talkin 1400s wit turbos and bottles streched and lowered !!
The speeds that these bikes are able to reach are no joke and most of them ride wheelies at a buck 10 ...
