My latest purchase, new pic's

Picked this up on the weekend at the Paris swap meet. 1984 KZ750L, damn fine runner, needs a front tire and she's ready to rock....I'm draining the fuel tank, cleaning the carbs and doing a tuneup/oil change/brake fluid flush, as well. It sat for 2 years.

Sold all my Suzuki T500 stuff at the meet, the plan was to use the cash to finish my Bobber, and get a start on gathering parts for my other 750L....this was too good to pass up though.

Ha ha you have been bitten by the KZ bug. Nice score on a good lookin bike

Turn out was fantastic, the most vendors I've ever seen there.

That bike looks to be in great condition. In fact it looks like new. Marvelous find. Wish I could have been there.

Pulled the carbs and cleaned them, drained the fuel tank, flushed the brake fluid, lubed the caliper pins, installed new Bridgestone Spitfires, changed the oil, new plugs, new Yuasa battery, lubed the chain, threw on my Tourmaster saddle bag's....she's ready to rock. Be on the road Wednesday, I'm stoked.

Spent 2 hours in a line to get plates this mornning....BLAH. Checked the bike over this afternoon, then went to a cruise night on it, bike ran like a top. Must say I'm rather impressed with her, rear brake is a bit lame so I'll address that tomorrow, other than that its nice n' tight and pulls real strong put 70 miles on it tonight.
My dad took it for a bit of a rip too and came back with a big grin, said he needed another 4cyl bike ( he has a Shadow thats his daily rider ) sooooo I sold him my 1979 KZ650, now I've got the cash to build the 810 for my other 750L :woohoo:

Pic from today, a few miles from my house...I love this bike.

Was raining off and on most of the day today, so I took a couple hours this afternoon to clean up the KZ.

Cut down a rear fender off another 750L I had kickin around, and installed my Zephry piggyback shocks on her as well. Ditched the grab rail for now but I may reinstal it. Modded another chain gaurd to clear the shock too.
