Would this handlebar fit well?

Is this standard or I have to measure things before?

Most Kawasaki bars of this year were 7/8" diameter. Handlebar shapes and fitments are many and varied. It all comes down on your comfort. Keep in mind any bar may need longer control cables or hydraulic brake lines to work properly.

If i change for a cafe style handlebar, i dont think the cables will be too short. I think it would be the opposite.

Would that be a problem or I should shortened them?

You will most likely have to buy some new cables but they are quite inexpensive.

the reason the bars are high is so they don't hit the tank while turning.
you might have some issues with them bars hitting.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

If your bars hit the tank than you will be the only one that has ever happened to. My CSR was the same stile bike with identical bars and I mounted a European low bar with no adverse affects.

That is a very good bike as far as cruisers go. The engine is one of the best 8 valve engines ever made.

I agree. That motor should have the big valve head that flows 82CFM stock.

I'd love to find one for what you paid. Comfortable cruiser for 2 up riding. I need something like that

well since that is an 84 zn1100 in my avatar i thought i would chime in on this one.

mine is a great bike. plenty of power since it is the gpz motor. 102 factory hp. ride is ok. they are air shocks fromt and rear.
since it is shaft driven it launches a little different if you goose it. the read end lifts instead of squating. but the plus is no chain to adjust or clean oil off the bike.
i'm not really a fan of the 34's on it though.
they work great and respond real well but i don't like when your cruising on the expressway or something similar that you can't just crack the throttle and have an instant response.
it's kind of a pig in the twisties because of the handlebars but you said you wanted to change that.

all in all it is my daily driver.
starts even on the coldest winter day.
i only knock down about 30-35 mpg but i do ride a little agressivly so that is to be expected.

great brakes, fair suspension, gobs of power.

so there is a little review for you.

do me a favor and sell me the windshield will ya?
i can't find any i like for mine but i like the looks of yours.
and if you are going to paint it will you consider swapping right sidecovers with me?
yours has my colors as well.
i have a perfect one in primer for you.

feel free to ask me anything about this model as i am so famalier with it.

i think you will be happy with it.

and here is a picture for you in factory trim.

Some drop in cams and a stage 1 jet kit will wake that bike right up ;)

well what size drop in's do you suggest?
the reason i don't mess with this bike is because i finally got it set up perfect.
i just don't want to go through trial and error again.

Cam Motion Z2 would be a nice grind for that.

A set of 83/84 GPZ cams or in the aftermarket section a set of K410 from ape or a set of Web 110 grind. But fore these bikes the Web 119 grind would give the best broad powerband. The 119 is very close to the OE GPz cam with a bit less duration giving the broader band.
