  Sorry to hear that my friend. I know that price includes several different services, but DAMN.....you can buy a brand new set of performance carbs for that. Well, after this it may be worth it to get that manual! :cheer:

These guys are ripping you off. Period.

Our shop does a complete teardown and rebuild for a rack of 4 carbs $240 - 2hrs. + $80 for parts.
Tune up including points, timing, manometer vacuum syncing, mixture screws, oil+filter change, lube everything - $115 - 2hrs. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

The most important thing is the vacuum sync. If the shop doesnt own a proper manometer/excellent set of guages, THEY SHOULD NOT WORK ON YOUR BIKE.

Sorry to bust your balls, but come on $800  Are you serious?

Use that quote to harass other shops, and get a better deal!

PEACE.

Holly crap.... $800....

New Set CR specials... $700
Morgan Carb Tune ..... $120
Shims, $ 6 each ..... $24
Valve cover gasket ... $10

Total ..... $854

Not hard to see where the best option lies... ;)

No comaprison.... New set of CR's vs. old carb set, regardless of being spot on tuned, the new technology wins in performance.....

Plus you'll get a top of the line sync tool for yourself for this is a desired & required tuning tool on these old KZ's....

@ that price, yup, your getting the bone... :S

Just my worthless 2 cents....
