Thats a hard question to answer. For the most part, the members that post frequently do most to all of the maintenance items you listed themselves. But what makes it the most difficult to answer is the cost of labor. It varries quite a bit from shop to shop and also region to region. I know this won't help with your question, but for considerably less money you could get a service manual and the tools necessary to do the work yourself. The secondary benifit of knowing more about what makes your bike tick is not unsubstantial either ;)

~ $75 an hour here in AZ is the going rates...

For the work you mentioned, they're most likely going to rape ya.... ~ $300-500... :pinch:

I'm with Porche, get a manual, some basic metric tools and one weekend and you'll get this accomplished plus learn a whole slew of things on your KZ....

I second that second...try doing it yourself. The knowledgable people on here are quite helpful and you can surely manage those jobs with a shop manual some basic tools and some patience.

btw, I had my valves adjusted at a shop once on my 550...it cost me 260 dollars. they quoted me 300 so I thought it was a steal! once I did them on my 1000 over this past winter I realized it was a rip off as it was not hard at all.

mainly the only reason im letting a shop do the tune up is i dont have much spare time at the moment...ill see how they treat me and if its too bad then they will never see another dollar from me

Does that include the lube?:S

I'll admit, carbs can be pricey , but still...

FACTORY manuals aren't to pricey when one looks at the cost savings down the road.

To each his own.
