Hi all.

In the near future I'll be looking to sell my lovely KZ1100 LTD, as I've too many bikes and cant keep them all. I've had a good think about which one's are to go, and the KZ is one of the ones on the chopping block.

Just under 20,000 miles. 1983 model year. Imported to the UK in 1998. I've taken the emissions set up off, so now runs full power with really good MPG for a big bike. A few bits of rust here and there, but it's on the surface and there's no gaping holes. Two good tyres. No leaks. Will have fresh MOT and 6 months VED when sold.

I've an idea of whats shes worth based on the Used Bike Guide.. but thats not very clear. I'll no doubt put her on eBay at the end of March to try and catch the start of the 'season'. Unless anyone from here would like a punt. Would be good to know she'll be going to a good home. :)

Your bike may be valued more highly on that side of the Atlantic...the KZ1100L1 is similar to the other, earlier 'J' motored LTD styled bikes (the CSR and LTD 1000...aka M and K models)...and those can be gotten here fairly inexpensively. The earlier 'duck-tailed' KZ's are valued more highly than the later 'J' motored (but no duck-tail) KZ's. Things appear to be different in Europe when valuing these bikes. You might consider PMing KZR member Tommotbird as he is in the UK and has a better feel for value.

I guess value is in the eye of the beholder...
Here's my KZ1100L1...And you'd have to pry the handgrips out of my cold, dead hands before I'd part with it...at ANY price...:woohoo:

Hi Willopotomas
As Mcdroid has said I am here in the UK and am very much into the bigger KZ's- I have 4 x KZ1100's, KZ1000 Ltd K model and a Z1 Classic. I am always scouring Ebay to see what they go for and buy the odd one now and then

I wouldn't let it go for less than 800 pounds but I would guess that you would be very lucky to make more than 1100 pounds. Shaft drive for some reason is not a good selling point unless someone wants to "trike" it. Please don't let that happen, the bike is too good for that.
You may get a better price if you advertise it in "Classic Bike" mag. rather than Ebay.

Both KZ1100s above are nice lookers.
I'm partial to the tailed KZs too.
I saw this tailed ZN1100 for sale locally, and did enquire about the price. An '85 IIRC. Guy was asking $3000. Too much for my wallet.

Cheers for the help Tommo. Think i'll keep hold of her for a while longer. I was writing out the blurb to put her on eBay, added the pictures etc.. but just couldn't put her on. She's done me proud, so will look at selling some other bikes.

Anyone interested in a CB250N?

About a year ago you were thinking of selling your kz1100 ltd.
Do you still have it and is it for sale ?
Thanks,

Any chance there is an option to display the post date stamp on the mobile version of the site? That would be helpful.
