KB, make it interesting, not only a video but make it a title for title race. And video him making the bet and later handing over the keys and title to you after you smoke is sorry butt.

Word of caution though: watch out for any tricks he may try.

Okay Uno, but one question, what kind of tricks do you think he might pull off? He is actually pretty desperate to win.

Dirty Tricks; he (or his buddies)could possibly foul your lane either before the race or while its going down. Another trick he could pull is crowding your lane and not let you pass. Or he wants a timed race where he knows his time and that is usually a trick he will try just before you two race and he hopes you don't know your time. And of course to ensure he doesn't have to pay up if he loses, he will have a lot of his friends there to "protect his interests". And the one thing is don't let him or his buddies near your bike ... lose wire(s) or worse could befall you while blowing the paint off his doors. He could claim engine problems (after he loses) or claim a technical against you in an attempt to null the race results. Or any other number of things he could possibly try to do. On the day of the race, set the terms or rules of the race and don't give him spot (he starts out so many seconds before you do or has a shorter start line(see first dirty trick)). Make it a side by side start and first across the finish line wins. Have plenty of your buddies with you to make sure he doesn't cheat or fail to pay up. Been there and had these tried on me.

You could make it fair by standing next to your bike with it shut off. Then you would have to start it and catch him after he left. Be carefull there are some fast trucks out there. At the local track up here there is a dodge that runs in the 10's all night then drives home.

I believe I saw that video Don posted (last year?) of a diesel dodge pick-up running 10 sec quarters...pretty impressive.

the diesel stuff people are pulling off lately is VERY impressive, the truck i posted about earlier (5##hp, 1####ft.bls of torque) was a stock internal motor with intake, 5"exhaust system, and a chip. not bad at all.
