Need Opinions on Helmets

Hey guys, had a quick question. Might sound stupid buy I was looking for a new full helmet but I don't want one that looks too sporty for my KZ. Any suggestions?

I have a Shoei RF1000, but there are a bunch of different brands to check out. It will be interesting to see what others say......No matter which you choose make sure it is at least D.O.T. rated.

I looked up the RF1000, very nice. Price isn't too bad either. I didnt see any reviews on it, is it comfortable?

google miguel duhamel shoei..and a review from a cycle mag pops up...same helmet as a rf1000...almost....depending on what size shoei you will need(try one at a shop for sizing) there are wicked deals on e-bay if your patient...folks sell their bike and dump brand new helmets or,stolen bike,stop riding,change color bike, buying wrong size helemet..there are brand new deals out there.....it can get you 500 helmet for 100-165.......imo...my replica duhamel xxl with an extra chrome shield was brand new in the box...guy's friend died and he got out of riding....145.00.....trick helmet.....Fozzie wrote:

Thanks trianglelaguna, I checked out that miguel dunhamel, it does have a nice shape to it. I've been checking ebay but got frustrated with the few thousand pieces of junk you have to sift through.

me too...way too many scam helmets or junk.... so what i do is enter only what i know i want look at....in this case i would wanna get a like new xxl helmet but pay used prices...hopeing for a deal on a big name brand that is like new.....arai are usualy big money even used.....but for my instance...i enter in "apparel"...helmet xxl used......or shoei xxl used.....or duhamel xxl used....or just....helmet full face used.....sort through all the junk and find one and then by checking homeboys feedback i can see if i can send him any questions i might have....i have bought 5 helmets this way and only once got a 99.00 agv that would lift in the wind.....the others were smoking deals...including my girls replica racer arai...like new for 125...good luckFozzie wrote:

Roof RO10 Daytona- made in France, don't know whether you can get them in the USA.

Ohhhhh!!!! A helmet thread! This is almost as good as an oil thread.

I've had an HJC CL-14 for over five years. It has been a good lid. Probably not as quiet as some others but since I don't take long rides it's not a big deal to me.

Just be sure it fits well--snug, not tight. There is gobs a plenty of helmet sizing info on the Web.

I always like Arai ever since I started riding. Well made Helmets. Have a Vector now and I like it.
