Does The GPZ1100 Fit In Here? If Not, Where?

Hey All, I'm new to the Kawasaki Clan and came here with my newly acquired 83' GPZ1100 to learn all I can about this bike! The what to look out for, the tips to keep it going well, the things to KEEP the EFI functioning properly and so on. Great to be here, wasn't sure just where to go with THIS one.

BTW, presently, she runs GREAT!!

i had a gpz1100b1 i found a manual very handy when working on the fuel injection,

wont hurt running some sea foam through the fuel system

Your a luckey one to find a EFI bike working properly... Nice bike BTW. If you can do yurself a favor and pick up the Kawasaki Service Manual if there is not one available here in the info section.

I finally got around to checking this place out and glad I am here as well. Gotta keep that GPZ in fine tune, ya know! Presently, she runs GREAT!!!!!!! And I want to keep it that way. Looking to learn all I can about THAT one too!

I've heard of that stuff and sounds like I need to get some and keep it on hand for the old GPZ. Yeah, I need a good manual for it as well. I picked up on a Clymer, to help out til I could try to locate a factory manual or a download. So, I'm still in need of the manual.

Appreciate the tip on the seafoam as well.

Thanks, I FEEL pretty lucky to have found this GPZ as well. I'm often told that most went Drag Racing and most that are still around, have been changed over to carbs. Well, I'm keeping THIS one on EFI as long as absolutely possible! It REALLY IS a unique bike and I DO feel fortunate to have it. ONE thing that kinda bugs me is that warning light system on the gas tank. There is something with the fuel level gauge because the red light is blinking and indicating that the tank is empty. Now, how much gas do you have to have in that sucker? When it (the level gauge) isn't working right, is it most usually the sending unit, the gauge or something in between? I'm trying to ask if there is any ONE thing that is usually the problem? If I can't fix that thing so that the light will stop flashing, I'm gonna do something to stop that light from flashing. I REALLY need that manual.:S

Welcome to the site.
The Clymer service repair manual, 1000 & 1100cc Fours. 1981-1985 has a reasonable section on the EFI system.
I have a KZ1100 with GPZ1100 EFI fitted and that too works well

Found it on ebay listing that was in Oklahoma, next door, you might say (since I live in Arkansas). The guy IS a big Kawasaki Four (900cc and up) fanatic and has several 900s still. Really nice guy too!
