I consider my self a "motorcyclist" A biker rides a Harley and has scrogley hair half way down to his ass. A rider rides a Honda GoldWing or one of those trike things.

I'm so confused. This is a tough question.

Over 35 years or so I've sported military grooming looks and long hair bag grooming looks. How you look effects your cool factor with me at exactly 0%. A wanker is a wanker no matter the outside shine, just like paint doesn't make your bike run better, and chrome won't get you home.

I've always rode/owned Japanese bikes, but I have rode other peoples Harley's and British bikes (all I can say of that experience is that "you feel like you're going fast!" roflmao). I have wrenched on Japanese and American bikes, and done some basics on British.

I have had to remind Canadians they have no bloody loyalty to the American Harley, so if they're going to spew crap about loyalties they better be riding Triumphs, Norton's, or CanAms, before they open their yaps.

I've seen so much who's who crap it makes me want to puke, and now thanks to A&E every damn old scrap Japanese bike or boxed up Harley is a "project bike" and worth 10 times it's actual value. LOL :silly:

I guess it comes down to this for me.
I Care less what you ride, just that you do ride and live in fear of Cagers like the rest of us. I do care that you wrench on it yourself even if you're a dolt at it, trying is everything. I've seen many bungling wrenches eventually end up as the local backyard man.

I Don't care if you have some homemade pizza box on the back of your ride as long as you made it with pride and puts a smile on YOUR face. I do Care that you're a polite person and would stop and help even some smuck on a moped! I do Care that you, ((don't talk out of your anal sphincter.)) ;) I do Care that even if you rev the old girl out now an then that you don't do it like an idiot and cause someone else harm, or just hurt the biking communities image in general.

I'm going to go with Rider/Biker. B)
I'm a solo rider, I bugger off with no place in mind, or I will tour with as many people as feel like going, but I'm going. I hate the rain with a passion, I've been stuck in it too many times with miles and miles too home. I wear old scruffy leather pieces made by me, and ride old scruffy bikes made by me.

Nice editorial there Captain.

You said "I have had to remind Canadians they have no bloody loyalty to the American Harley, so if they're going to spew crap about loyalties they better be riding Triumphs, Norton's, or CanAms, before they open their yaps."

With that being said Why is your screen name "Capt America" instead of "Capt Canada" :)

What took you so long?

jeez o petes words...all words. Translate "rider" or "biker" into another language and we'll all get even more confused. I think what we're trying to determine here is who is dedicated to the motorcycle lifestyle and who just wants to look like they are...when it's convenient. Clothes, tattoes, brand loyalty, alcoholism, even homosexuality really have nothing to do with any of this. If you look through the photo gallery of this site and see the endless variety of KZ's it's pretty awsome to think that we can all understand and respect eachother on some level. Just sharin' info...those who are hardcore helpin' to make those who arn't more so.
