a quick story....some guy around here wears all black and knee high gehstapo boots with a white half helmet...and get this...a blacked out ski mask thingy and mirrored aviator shades..looks like a cop from five feet away for a split second.......he used to really get me ,till i would see it was just him........so i got to hating the fool.......then one day a few years back im in a hardware store talking to this guy ive spoken to before who shops there too.....he sees my z1 shirt and comments...i take him out to see my bike on the side lot......he starts telling me he is a retired cop.....owns three cop bikes and rents himself out in a copy cat outfit to lead union workers funeral processions in san fran......i ask him....hey you ever ride around around this area....sure ..he says...all the time.....it is this giant turd puncher ive been flipping off for a year.....hahahaahahaahahahaahaahah... so i start talking to him whenever i see him again.....and get this....he is the bartender/member for the masonic lodge.......so i try and start seeing if i can get info about the secrets of the masons.....he is all scared now and wont talk to me when he sees me.......hahahaahahahahaha
......he is way creepy with the mask and shades in traffic....a real loose screw..stalker type.....not much better in person either.....hahahahahahahaah

He wants to change the appearance of the bike. He doesn't want to look like a cop.

I'm thinking a darker color. Just about anything but white would do it.
Yellow? Red? How about that new copper color? Choices are endless.

LMAO...Hey he asked. I dont even know the guy. But I bet he gets looks and the occasional finger when riding it. Would any of you ride next to it or want to share the lane? Tell us the response you get from other drivers when you ride? I am curious...Russ

cops suck!
cop bikes are cool!
people trying to act like cops suck!
cutdown a smoked windshield for the fairing and i would enjoy riding it anywhere even with the police 1000 decals.
i like the fact that you actually modified it yourself and ride the thing.
keep us posted on the changes/progression of your bike.if you hang around here long enough everyones hardons will soften  .

As I read that description my mind flashed back to that Dirty Harry movie where some motorcycle cops were gunning down mob figures and the like.

A buddy of mine has one as well, except he's got a different fairing on there and he put an LTD style seat on as well.

The easiest mod to not look like a cop might be to tint and trim the windshield.
Looks like it's pretty tall. Do you get any buffeting with it?
