Here is a link to some plans I found on the internet. www.afabonline.com/cycle.htm

I have a table that looks similar to the Harbor Freight one. It is not perfect but it works great. It was 200 bucks at one of those traveling tool sales.

One drawback is that it is a two man job to get the bike up on it. If the bike is running and you try to drive up, it is so narrow that you have no place for your feet, plus someone needs to hold the bike up while you put some straps on it. I use a engine hoist to raise the bike, then roll the lift under the bike.

I just made a wood stand to put the bike on.
Followed plans that Breeze (Rob) sent me.
Should make working on the bike a little easier on my back.
Here are some shots of how it looks:

Here is a picture of the bike on the lift i have. I ended up trading my frien the craftsman lift i bought, for this one. It is a Duralast brand one from auto-zone. To top it off he bought it a few years ago and never took it out of the box. Not perfect but it does the job well.

Oh it's you with the wood stand Kawtoy.
Could you post up some plans?

Here are some plans I have for a wood stand:

I can't seem to cut and paste this one very well, or save the image either- it says it is a jpeg, why can't I right click save? I am going to make one of these out of mostly metal (except the deck) and I need a better way to save the plans!

Those platform type stands are nice except they take up a lot of room, and don't help you do tire changes and that type thing. Excuse the Goldwing picture, but I didn't see the thought of removing the entire rear of the motorcycle to change a rear tire real attractive. This is a Pitbull lift, weighs 130 lbs and will lift a Goldwing 23" off the floor and is dead stabil too if you do it right. Of course on a KZ the exhaust is below the engine and you don't lift by the exhaust. Make up wood spacers and lift by the engine and frame. Of course a Pitbull is not a chinese harbor freight piece in price or function as you get what you pay for.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

ya, those are nice, finally broke one last week- don't know how I did it to this date. Actually, it was last month, now that I think about it LOL- dropped my V65 right on it's side. One of the arms plumb cracked and broke.

anyway- that tilt stand is what I am going to do out of metal today, and I am digging the design, biig time!

I pick up my KZ1000 by the exhaust all the time. No problem!
