Vintage/Rare Equipment Pictures

Looked to see if this could possibly be a repost, but haven't seen anything of the sort, so here goes.

Let's see some of the rare and/or extinct Kawasaki Equipment, accessories, performance parts . . . you have on your bike, or hanging on a wall somewhere. I know with all the bikes and owners here, there's gotta be some parts to oooooh and aaaaaw about.

I'll start.






The Moriwaki Ignition Cover and the Moriwaki Race Exhaust System, both came off 1 of the bikes I own, bought for $260.00. Before you think anything, both are not ever for sale. I just cleaned up and painted the exhaust, repacked what little there was of a silencer inside it, and wow :woohoo: does it ever sing around 5,000 rpms. I should make the exhaust look like this back when:


When I bought the bike.



Don't know who that guy is in the photo above(Google searched both of them), but I should restore the muffler to the way it was meant to be.

Not exactly parts, but I got these from a buddy when he closed down his bike shop. Original Kaw pro dealer plexiglass sign, 2 x 3' with built in lights and an old analog Kaw meter (if anybody has the knob that's missing please give me a shout):

I've got an "Authorized Kawasaki Parts Dealer" sign around here somewhere. Besides that I've got a close-ratio tranny going into my Z1R 1260...my biggest claim to 'unobtainium', I guess.

No photos of the tranny as it's in the bottom end...

And this old RC 4 into 1. I hope it holds up when I blast it this winter. It needs some resto work but it should be easy.

hows that for an old outdated bike in the high 7s with a small motor in the early 80s?

hey why did every body tilt their headlights up in the 70's-80's. that guy looks just like me only skinny.

Some attempt at improved aerodynamics would be my guess.

without a bottem brace/bracket vibration tends to point them up anyway, its easer to push em up and forget em !:laugh:
