If they ask in a smarta$$ tone, I say "Duh!"
But most times I say "yes, it's hot and I'm sweating. But I'd rather sweat a lot than bleed just a little".

I cringe everytime I see someone go by in t-shirt & shorts...
I'm right with you on that one! I wear jeans, mesh jacket and full-face helmet! The real answer is just to ride faster!
Actually, I find the full mesh jacket (just bought it) is very close to no jacket at all as far as air flow goes - as long as I remember to take the liner out, that is!:S

How do those down South handle it?
I ride with a 1/2 Leather 1/2 mesh jacket and leather pants, boots, full face and gloves all the time.
The pants have been sticking in the knee area the last few days.
I'm amung the "rather sweat than bleed" group.

I always wear full-face helmet and gloves. During the day I wear an armored mesh jacket. If I'm going to be out after dark I wear my leather jacket.
I must admit that I occasionally go out in just a t-shirt. Usually it's a long-sleeve t-shirt though.

I have a nice 3season jacket with removable liner, but it's going to be 97 today and that's just too hot
I don't enjoy riding like that, just haven't picked up enough gear yet.
This is my 1st year commuting on a cycle

I stuffed my jacket in the trunk and rode in jeans and a short sleeve shirt. The fairing keeps most of the wind off me, and even with the vents open, I was cooking. I got home OK, and was ready for a COLD one.

I soak mine in water for a few minutes, wring it out a bit and I'm cool for a few hours. It sure makes the ride home in traffic very bearable. I prefer this over the vests that use coolpaks. Mine just needs a soak, every gas stop is good to use the bathroom sink and get it wet again, but with coolpaks you need to refrigerate them every time you need them cool, too much trouble when you're on the road. I don't know if the coolpaks last longer, they might.
I also wear a full face, mesh/textile jacket (not full mesh) and mesh gloves with leather palms, jeans and 10" boots every where I ride, every time I ride.
