Wow! Looks good John. Other than the tank, the before and after pics are almost identical. BTW, if you still need some turn signal housings, PM me. I think I have a couple kicking around in the garage. B)

Congrats, John. I know it has been a long recovery for you and the bike. Glad to see you've stuck with the riding game. Enjoy and keep the shiny side up. :)

Fantastic, John! She looks real good. Gotta know, did you find replacement forks or did you stick with the straightened ones? I just got my new set on last weekend. (850 pounds without me, I just kept fidgeting all the time wondering "Have those tweaked back over just a little?")

R4... I cleaned and painted the tree when I got home Saturday night. Sunday morning about 9AM I started working on the bike and rode it about 1PM. I was really anxious Chris,... really anxious!:)

jjdwoodman... I'm using the fork I straightened, mainly because according to Kawi.com the only other bike that uses the same fork is mine! One year only for those forks. As we talked about earlier (PM's), using a straight edge on 4 sides it came out virtually perfect. Everything went together and fit together slicker than snot! I'm very confident in the way I fixed it.

Mark Wing... I'm sure it can but money is almost non existent so it will have to wait for quite awhile. When the time comes your the man I'll contact! ;)

ltdrider... Don't look too close Tim, it's got a couple extra scratches and abrasions!

The rest of you guys... Thanks for everything and for just being here! This is a great site and everyone here makes it the best UJM site on the web! WoooHooo!!, I can ride again!! :woohoo:

Congrats on getting her back on the road! It is nice to be up and at em for the season, no? I hope you're feeling better as well.

Just recently my own bike made love with a curb. The tank had a serious dent along with a bent swingarm and a laundry list of other things. I was lucky not to be hurt, so I can't say it was as bad as your accident.

Fortunately I got her back in commission w/o spending much (but put a whole lotta heat into some parts, cough, cough, swingarm), so I'm back on the highway as well! B)
