part it,or sell it as a whole was created by WharfRat
I'm getting sick of pushing this 79 650b around the garage. It's complete except for the seat and coils. Clear title, owners manual,Factory service manual, kawasaki key even. I'll probably never get around to restoring it. What would youse guys do-part it,or just sell it whole. I'm NOT responsible for the paint. :X :X :X. All the chrome cleaned up like new,all the lights and such work, and the compression seems strong.I did pull the kerker, but have a solid set of 750 pipes. Figured I'd use the proceeds to finish up the 750. Opinions needed. A ballpark price would be cool also. Thanks-John

Kenosha,WI-didn't see that I had to re-up my signature. The plates came off a van I bought from my dad,who now live in Tyler,TX. I need to get down there-got the jones for some GOOD bbq.

Hey, are you the same WharfRat who used to post in rec.autos around 15 years ago? What a blast from the past!

Considering it's nearly complete and looks to be in restorable condition, I'd sell it as whole rather than part it out.
OTOH, if it were mine I'd probably keep it rather than sell it - I'm slightly biased when it comes to KZ650's.

:S Like to fix it-but I just really want it gone. Hell,I'll toss in a GL 1200 Goldwing roller for $350 total. For both.
Just cause I'm a good guy. And am sick of looking at 'em.

Damn....forget the GoldThing. If I was closer, that 650 would be a perfect candidate for a mild cafe bike that I want to build.
If I was you, I'd sell it whole. You should easy get $300 as a non-running parts bike. I know I'd pay that, for sure.

well hell, if you part it let me know there will be a lengthy list from me...
I think you could get good money for the parts on ebay, more than 300 I think. But in that condition she would sure make a nice resto bike...it would be a shame to chop her up. To bad it wasn't closer to my folks place (in NY)...you would already have a pm and paypal payment

Okay then,it's for sale as a whole. First $275 gets it. I'll toss up an ad in the classifieds. I'll hold off on putting it on Craigs for a few days. Let me know via PM if interested. Thanks for the help guys-John.
