There is an 84 1100 near me, that appears to be in good shape. The owner says he had regular maintenence done, but says last time out, he had clutch problems, but was able to drive it into the garage.
Anyone with an idea on value? It's a shaft drive.
Thanks
Owner also says new top end..

Depending on the clutch issue, and also the bike's mileage, the $1460 quoted by Mcdroid is in the ballpark. Good luck and keep us posted.

the 84 1100 is a gpz motor. all the good stuff.
gpz bathtub head, 18 mm crank, bigger sleeves etc.
clutch can be anything from just being worn out to needing a new clutch basket, which is the weak link in these motors.
upper half of the motor alone is worth $1000 on a good week on e-bay.
if you go that route, i want the crank.
or just fix and ride it. i personally love my shaftie.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

What do I want it for?? Ummmmm...cuz it's a KawiB)
And I was thinking that it would be nice to have a cruiser while I am constructing the 79 1000 to which I have decided to not do the stock rebuild. Going to go cafe with mods. So it looks like this year is out for the 1000 as I am still finishing the 650 for this summer.
Anyway, he wants $675 for the 1100, and judging by the response, I should snatch this one up:woohoo:

Yeah, I think you need to grab it at that price, I would if it was close to me and ran for sure.

I just took a look at your 1100 that you have in the gallery. The one I am looking at is a twin to yours.

just buy the damn thing allready!
i have a few parts for you if you need them.
the bike is just so fast and smooth it is beautiful.
by far the most comfortable kawasaki i own.
the only thing i don't really care for is the handlebars. they are just a little funky in the twisties for me. good thing for me i live so close to z1 so i can get a new pair in the spring.
pleanty of power and a nice over all bike.
best $1000 i ever spent.
i just love the looks on he younger kids faces when they want to try the stoplight races with me.
( come-on everyone, we all do it once in awhile )
if you do buy this ( and you will be a fool not to )
pm me for any questions or help.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE,DON'T FIX ITAs I have said before in other threads My 82 1100-D1 IS a great bike. Its FAST { not a bussa } & reliable {more so after coil mod THANKS GEORGE }I've been ridin it for 5 yrs-25,000 miles on just tires, brake pads ,& batteries. Also I think these bikes ARE developing a following as we speak & I'm in. You are gonna dig it.
