This weekend is the National Indoor Exotic Car Show.

Trent, my 9 year old son, has been working hard to get his bike ready and yesterday we got it setup in the building. This is an acceptance show. All registration needed to be approved. I was nervous that he wouldn't be accepted and have to explain to him why. Well, he got in. The show goes on til Sunday. He is entered in Motorcycle Street Class (except HD) I counted about 20 bikes in his class. Everything from stretched Hyabusa's with 300mm tires to ZX-14's and GSXR's. Only one other classic bike. A 1972 GT750J Waterbuffalo which is original. I didn't enter anything since it's his first Indoor and Major Show. This is his weekend to enjoy. I'm a little depressed. this is the first time in 18 years I haven't entered something of my own. I guess I'm passing the torch. That makes it worth it.

Here are the pics of the displayed 1972 TS185 Sierra.
Sorry they are dark. They won't turn the lights on in the building til the show starts.

Good luck to him. I am sure you will enjoy this show 100 times more than any that you have entered yourself. Just think how proud you will be everytime some shakes your sons hand and tells him how good his bike turned out. Does his display tell his age? That should get the judges attention.

Here's hoping this show has better judging than the last one Trent entered. Just the fact that he did the work himself should count for something. Good luck Trent!

Yes, His age is on the sign in the picture in large print. There are also pictures of him working on it and a complete photo album on a stand for folk's to look at.

Thanks for the support. I know he appreciates it.

It's great to see that he has some stick-to-itiveness and didn't just give up after last year. Keep going for it Trent you do nice work.
Good luck,

So many good lessons here for a youngster.
1. Hard work pays off (beautiful bike)
2. Sometimes life isn't fair (last years judging)
3. Doing the work yourself gives you a sense of pride
4. You may not always win but as long as you have fun it was not a total loss.
5. Quality time spent with your dad is worth more than anything in the world (he will not truly understand this until he is older)

Good Weekend.... The Lil' Bike Won "Top 5" Motorcycle at the show this weekend. (I would have hated to been on the receiving end of my son's wrath if he hadn't.) LOL Just got home and here are a few more pictures.

I'm awful proud of him...
