Just an update, I paid $200.00 shipping for the swing arm and tank from Japan. That's about what I expected.

Also, the forks are up to $305.00 and the reserve isn't met yet. What do you think they will go "to me" for? Or, how much should I spend on them?

I don't know Rick, seven days to go. Lot could happen, but might stay quiet until near end. Would think it will go possibly higher than swingarm? Lot of differant arms available but this is a one shot deal! Will be interesting for sure.

while i think they look cool, i would expect you would get alot more bang got your buck using a modern front end. Also with a modern front end it would be alot easier to find spares for and service parts than something so exotic...

Just my thought, for what its worth...

1977 kz650 c1

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

Well, yeah, I think that's definately true...but I think the 'Egli-replica' purpose is probably what the design intention is ... a little like buying period-esque racing parts for a vintage racer ... or vintage racer clone.

Personally I'd like to see an Egli clone with inverted forks, 17s, and (my taste here...) like an MV(F4)-styled tail section(???). Anyway, I think that a project like this is a 'taste of the owner' issue...and it's cool to me, regardless of the out-come...(hey, at least it's not a cruiser!:woohoo: )
