Twice recently I've been on my KZ1000 on PCH in Huntington Beach and gotten complements from HD riders, one guy was on a fine 1925 HD that looked like a museum piece, and he thought my stock KZ1000 was cool
But I have to agree, most of the ride less in a year than I ride in a month and are posers with big monthly payments. HD Dealers offer GREAT Financing :woohoo:
1977 KZ1000 - coolest
1973 Honda CB-750 - oldest
2004 Yamaha FZ1 - fastest

His Harley is actually a pretty cool ride. A former police bike. Engine is stroked; 1600cc I think. Gobs of torque. Blows my 1100 away in a straight line.
He works at the local Harley dealer selling chrome. He says the stuff practically sells itself. His bike is all chromed out, so he just shows it to the buyer. They take one look, say "I want mine to look like that," and whip out their credit card. Vince laughs all the way to the bank.
My 2 good friends/riding buddies have Harleys. They are the ones who convinced me to get my CB500 back on the road earlier this year. That led to the KZ1100. So I guess Harley dudes have some redeeming qualities!

I wear the biker friendly sticker, I give room to lane splitters, and I stop when I can for bikes (all kinds) on the shoulder.
Guess I thought I'd get an occasional acknowledgement from a passing rider.
I'm over it.

He had tat's up and down his arms. HD rings the whole nine yards. Looked the total HD hard core rider. When I'd leave.. I never saw his bike
So one time I waited until he left. Goes out and pulls a Schwinn from out of some bushes!!!  :woohoo:
I asked about him inside, like did he loses his license or what?? Nope never had a bike at all !!! Just wanted to "fit in" and his truck was broke down.
Whenever I saw him after that I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. I'd always think of Kermit the frog saying " gone with the Schwinn " on a Muppet movie, and have to go to the bathroom to keep from losing it in front of him.
1974 900 Z1 modified to look like a LTD , some engine mods. But I still have all the original parts.

- Blue handles better
Not all Harley riders are bad, my brother owns 2, and I still like him...
I hope no one assumes we think they're "bad" (usually they're far from it, but I digress), we just like poking fun at the inlaws.
There is a guy I know, he and his wife only have one car, a Hyundai, and they have a flaming HOG plate on the front. It's hilarious every time I see it.

I saw an HD ad on TV saying that the HD logo is the #2 tattoo behind "MOM".... so they get it done permanently with ink also!
Recalls the guy with an "M" tattoo on each butt cheek, so when he bent over it spelled "MOM", and upside down, it spelled "WOW"
And of course the Harley fan with "H" on the left and "G" on the right.
