"jannaegner", yea it's under my wifes account. Don't understand the ebay thing so just easier this way. Same here, I'm cheap and won't chase a part beyond what I think it's worth. I don't win many auctions, I guess you have to snipe if you really want the part!B)

Patmann. I too try and keep it simple.
I have everything for the Z1 right now ( kinda' boring ) But will start putting her back to $tock /original soon. So NOS buyers of 1974 Z1 parts look out:evil: I have deep pockets for some things. But then again I'm also a cheap S.O.B. too.
The KZ.. I'm in no hurry on that project since it's a KZ,there are tons more parts out there, for now..
Pat

I'm not very original either/way to lazy/don't like to be confused, so my eBay ID is the same as here:
retroricerocketrider.
I'm thinking of shortening it to R4, because having to type in my entire ID goes against my lazy nature. :P

If I do recognize a KZr members ID and they have bid on something I want/need, I'll either wait for another of that item to be listed for sale, or if I REALLY need it I'll send a PM and ask what that member is willing to bid up to on that item.
If it's less than what I'M willing to spend, I let that member know that I won't bid unless someone else has bid past that max amount.

Most of the time I'll place a small bid on an item just so my ID shows up, in hopes that another KZr member recognizes it and we don't end up in a bidding war.

The reason for not entering my max bid right away?
Newbie eBay members and other members who "just can't stand losing" tend to drive prices up to ridiculous amounts, and I'd rather not add ammo to their battle (there WILL be another part like that for sale eventually).
Besides, I almost always snipe auctions with my max bid within the last 2~3 secs anyway.
I like to win (and usually do ) as well, I just play rough while doing it!

I know what you mean. I'd hate to get in a bidding war with a fellow member here. It just ain't right.
Several weeks ago there was a GPZ head with cams on auction, and knowing steell wanted the same type parts, I pm'd him and told him I was going after the pieces. He told me as he's told you, that he is a cheapskate and I wouldn't have to worry about each of us driving the price up.
I just felt better letting him know what I was up to.
Btw, neither one of us won the parts but I did sleep better that night.B)

Oh yea. Getting back to the topic, my ebay ID is inline4guy. I wanted inline4 but it apparently was already taken.
A couple years ago my brother-in-law was in town and we were looking at something on ebay and he saw my username. He said my name sends the message that I'm in line for a guy.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Until he said that I had never given it any thought.
Just wanted to share.B)

Just to illustrate what a total gearhead I am, I would have just assumed it referred to an inline four motor :D

Nothing else would have even entered my peanut size brain :D

Good idea! I have added a new field to the member profile section, so now you can put your ebay user id in your profiles.
