I've been riding since 73 and lived less than 300 miles from Sturgis all my life, and have never gone to the rally, some day maybe.:whistle:

Ive lived on the way to sturgis since i was born. every summer, it must be like tourist season in more popular places, but we have the HD invasion. every little gas station and ma and pa joint changes signs from "hunters welcome" to "bikers welcome." then for three weeks nothing but hd's on the interstate, in town, all over. a lot of nice bikes, and most of them are pretty decent guys. its the only time of year i catch any shit for riding a kaw though.

US 36 seems to be a popular route to Sturgis year after year. So far I've not mingled.

Our local paper had a lengthy article last weekend about locals heading out there. A little bit too much stereotyping for me, but maybe it'll have the side effect of making some folks more aware of us out there.
