Looking great so far. You did a heck of a job with those shocks as far as I can tell in the pics.

Finally took it for it's first ride yesterday. It warmed up to 64 here in December!!! This thing pulls hard. I'm not use to that only to have ridden my 650. When you crack the throttle you better hold on. I still have a small clutch problem though. It's like when I try to let it out slowly I get nothing...nothing...then the clutch engages. So I can't feather it at all. I adjusted it as the manual says. I am going to get a new cable it is almost out of adjustment anyways and start there.

My clutch has pretty much always acted that way. It's hard to slip the clutch and get a soft start. I've gotten used to it, but it can be a pain when the bars are turned before the launch. You really have to hang on.
Post up if you can get it softened up, I'd like to know what you did.

When I got my 900 ltd the clutch was tough but smooth. The PO put a police bike cable on it. It was quite long. I hated how long it was and ordered a stock one and have had the same problem as you guys describe since. If I lube up the cable real good it would be OK for a week or so then get stickey again. The police clutch cable is a good 6 to 8 inches longer and stuck way out on top over near the speedometer but it did act smoother. I do notice the stock cable bends a lot sharper from the perch down. Hope that helps. Be nice to find a cable about 2 or 3 inches longer than stock. You can have a custom one made.
