Hey Trout, good to hear you're ok.  As they say - any accident you can walk away from wasn't a bad one.
Back in the 90's I got hit from behind on my Honda interceptor at a stop sign.  The insurance adjuster was a biker: he asked  "do you want to keep the bike and fix it?"  Then he wrote the estimate for $50 short of a total so we could avoid a "salvaged" title.   Did the repairs at home and rode it for another 7 or 8 years!

Ok, guys, looking for advice from the collective minds here.  Let's talk handlebars.  The handlebars were snapped in the crash.  I had, I believe, chrome Emgo superbike bars.  In general I liked them.  I was looking at replacements on z1enterprises:

Handlebars - 7/8 inch - Superbike Style - Chrome | Kawasaki and Suzuki Motorcycle Parts | Z1 Enterprises

In the notes it says "will NOT work if you plan on running wires through the bars."  I want the wires run through the bars, that's the way it is now with the superbike bars I have.  Does anyone know why I could not run the wires through these bars?  I have sent this question to z1, but wondering if anyone here has these bars and wires run through them?

I need new mirrors.  One was snapped off in the wreck, old 10" Emgo.  I could never see shit in those mirrors.  The best I could say is there is someone behind me, who or what no way I could make that out.  Is there any good or better options?

Running wires through a 22 mm steering bar could be difficult, due to no in and out holes or depressions are present.
Z1 steering bars did have holes for the wiring.....

Well I have superbike bars now with the wires run through them.  I did have to drill them myself which is a little nerve racking because you only get one try to get the control holes in the right spot.  I think I will go for it.  I need to get an order in with z1 and get all of the part coming this way.
