Being on a full acre of land is pretty nice. I left So Cal when we retired the house was on a 7000 sq ft lot. My new front yard is just over 6000k! Yeah, I am loving retirement.

Managed to pretty much wrap up the frame mods today, cross tubes are in for the seat mounts, side braces (which will also give me somewhere to hang stuff) and rear gusset's which have replaced the shock mounts. Hopefully tomorrow can get the mounts done for the tank, electrics box and beather catch tank

Strange days indeed!
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I know what you mean, it was just one of those days yesterday. The mounts for my catch tank and electrics box both wanted to be in the same place, I came up with a plate with two 5mm studs welded into it going one way and one 6mm stud going the other which has sorted it (there was no room for bolt heads) then when I came to weld them in the welder ran out of wire. I had been using 0.6 but only had a reel of 0.8. When I tried to reverse the guide roller for the 0.8 wire it was seizer solid (welder is old and hasn't been used for many years) much WD40 and a two legged puller later I got it off (should just slide off and on) Still, hopefully I will get my stem and tree's back this week so I can have a change of scenery and mock up the front end

04 Jul 2022 08:23That last time I heard that song, it was playing on a radio in the doctor's office - it was in the room they were wheeling me into for a colonoscopy. No lie! I told them to turn that f'ing thing off!! Not funny!!
