Good choise, the SC57 fireblade LED rear light fits perfect under the duck tail.

Can I make a suggestion?
A "Brake 2 Flash" adjustable brake light flasher module would be a perfect combo and safety feature to the LED rear break light!
I have it on all of my bikes.

Made a bit more progress with the rear lamp panel today, I really like the flush fitting licence plate light. Have also started on the blimps for the turn signals. While I was waiting for adhesive to cure I started chopping up the air box, Pods won't suit the look I am going for but the stock airbox won't fit around the frame mods and also doesn't follow the line of the modified side panels (why do I do this to myself  )
PS: I can't believe how restrictive the stock airbox is with all the internal baffles

I have really been struggling to get time on the build since Christmas but managed to get a day on it today. I've finally finished up the light panel/rear fender (this has been a complete PITA to scratch build in plastic) I'm really happy with how it's turned out. I also managed to score a chain guard on evilbay, this is an OEM GSXR item which is correct for the swinging arm I am using. It was removed from the donor 20 years ago when it was almost new. The condition as you see it is how it arrived (like new)

Thanks Dave, I would love to be able to CAD model and 3D print pieces like this but I don't have the knowledge or access to the equipment

Been getting on with the "duck bill" today, I have to say I am really happy at how little filler I have had to use given that it's a cheap fibreglass replica and I've chopped it about quite significantly

While the filler was setting on the "duck bill" I have made a start on the air box (need to do this before I can tweak the side panels as I don't like the gap between the panels and the tank) I could have just gone with pods but it's not the look I am going for, however the top shock support is in the way for the stock air box. Cue the "A" team music, I have hacked it within an inch of it's like while still trying to retain a "stock'ish appearance) Now the chopping is almost done I will start the reconstruction, it will have much greater flow than the ultra restrictive stock item using a K&N panel filter - now where is my hot stapler and glue

I have been pressing on with the airbox today, unwanted holes are now filled and I have fitted a new front bulkhead. The new bulkhead was required as the original was buckled and I need the holes 15mm lower so that the box will line up with the modified side panels, I have also kicked it back 3mm at the top (again so it follows the line of the side panels) I have also fitted a connector for the breather ( still need to build a baffle box inside for that) Still a way to go but it's coming along   I really love my hot stapler

Another piece of the puzzle came on Friday, a pair of "J" cams. According the the FSM manual the "J" has a little more lift and duration, this is the only difference I can see for the softer tuned "K" which I have. Hopefully with the cams and intake mods I should get at least the extra 10bhp that the "J" has over the "K" ( if not the cams were cheap enough not to be a big issue)
