Very Ambitious project
Will be keeping a eye on this one.
Personally I would use a smaller gas tank that fits the lines of the frame and loose some bulk.
Powder coat frame and exhaust after cleaning up welds
Welcome to KZR

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Personally I would lower and extend the rear part of your seat so that it flows better with the lines of the bike, the rest of your build is unique and looks like a winner.

I kinda like the big, bulky look. It would be easy enough to line up the lighter color stripes to pull the frame line to the head stock. The light color draws the eye to it , and the darker color minimizes the size of the tank.

There are many more like it, but this one is mine... news to come!

Is that a coarse thread galvanized stud on the rear wheel adjuster for mock up?
I'd definitely go for a finer thread on good quality steel. Wont matter once the axle is tight, but it will help it in the looks department.
I'm planning to weld my own pipes down the road. Are the collars staying or going?
Anything w/ a KZP motor in it is a winner in my book!

thanks for the feedback
yes thats for mock up im using a grade 8 steel bolt
The seat is about 1/2 -3/4 away from fender for travel for the spring seat so is down as far as it will go with out rebuilding the rear fender
the collars on the exhaust are staying
