Like Ed said WOW, I did not know they made a 650 Ltd, what year is it? I like that the fenders are painted and not chromed like all the Ltd I have seen ,
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I believe it is a 1980 KZ650-E1. I think the LTD was only made that one year, so it is a pretty rare model. It's really nice that it survived in original condition. Ed

off topic..

Or they go off to some war and never come home and there family just lets it sit in the garage.

Seems like the main cause of death in young USA men is poisoning, suicide and road traffic accidents (mainly motorcycles?),

As Stalin said, each death a personal tragedy, each Megadeath just another statistic. (with all due respect)

You nailed it. I had serious questions about it's authenticity because I am used to seeing LTDs with smaller tanks, disc brakes all around, chrome fenders, etc. I found some excellent sites with amazing resources specific to kz650s that led me to it being an E1

I think this one deserves nothing but to leave I in as original shape as I can. I may go to solid state ignition.....
