Kz's dont have matching numbers best you do is within 200 or so, and thats on the early Z1's. i have a marching 78 1000 that is thousands off on the engine and frame
my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

That makes me feel better, they are close so it is probably the original motor. Thanks man, I learn something new here everyday.

I really am not a skilled mechanic, this is my first ever build, design and engineering that amplifies aesthetics and function is my thing.
