Here is an update for you all. Omars adjustable clubman bars, custom low profile saddle with carbon fiber pattern seating surface and double stitching color matched to the blue color of my bike. Stock turn signal mounts and chain guard mounts shaved. Stock rear fender removed and a custom tailight/plate/turnsignal mount rubber mounted to the stock rear fender mount. I have the Airtech Dunstall quarter fairing on order and when it arrives I will colormatch it and the gpz chin I got from boatdrinks to the rest of my bike. Braided stainless brake lines and perhaps rear sets and matching riders pegs are in the works hopfully before spring.

Thanks and kudos to you on you bike. I debated long and hard whether or not to go full on cafe, solo seat and all. In the end I decided that being a grandpa I needed to keep two up riding as an option and I also had a hard time deleting the ducktail as it is such a unique and cool feature of these bikes. I do really like yours though and if another project bike comes my way in the future I will probably go the same rout with it. Although I REALLY have a strong urge to out Harley the harley crowd. I figure for about 10g I could build a full on custom 1380cc kz chopper (built on a custom softtail frame) that would make any chopper fan drool and would strip the paint off most Harley type bikes as I blew by. Nothing against Harleys, Ive owned a few myself. They are alot of fun. Its just that many of that crowd (not all)these days never even owned a bike before getting a Harley and have a "there shit dont stink" attitude that I like to knock down a notch when I can ha ha.

Haha I hear ya on the Harley crowd. The cowl on my bike is actually removable, and there's a seat underneath. I have a build thread for it under the pain/bodywork section. My girl likes to ride as well and keeping that option open wa a must. I'm with you on the ducktail, classic KZ.

UPDATE!!! I picked up a nice clean kz550 transmission so my bike is getting a 6th speed. I also picked up a kz700 oil pan which has the oil cooler ports and a set of stock kz700 cooler lines. I already had a gpz750 oil cooler which is the same as used on the kz700 so Im set for a stock cooler installation. A little paint, new rubber, chain and sprockets {just because} and this project will be done til next winter. Attached is a pic of a kz700 for those who may not have known they existed. Note how nice the cooler lines are run.
