Glad a few members appreciate the videos I posted of my vintage Superbike!!!

One vintage motorcycle magazine has shown some interest in doing an article on my Superbike and the restoration I did on it. They want me to write the copy for the article. That is the hold up now. I have not really written anything since I wrote a few short stories back when I was in school!!!! I just hope they won't kill it over my poor ability to write a printable story of the bike and its restoration!!! Oh, I will make sure to put in the article that the bike did win your 2018 Bike Of The Year title!!!!

I am totally amazed that over the past few years there has been over 40K views of the rebirth of my Kz1000 Superbike road racer thread. I am glad that many members took the time to view my progress on getting my beloved Superbike back together and running like it did 35 to 40 years ago. I would like to thank all the members that left all the encouraging comments over the years about my journey in getting this bike back to its former glory!!!! What I really appreciated was all the members that voted to make my bike the 2018 Bike Of The Year!!!!! That meant a lot to me more than most people would realize. Thanks again for that honor.

It went from this dusty, pushed into a corner used up race bike.......

To this great reminder of the heydays of Superbike road racing in this country!!!!

I've just went through the entire thread all in a row. I do not have words to express how beatiful your MKII is, not only for the build but more for the history behind.

I own two MKII one complete OEM and another waiting for a resto mod, I have allways wanted to make it like a AMA Superbike, and after seeing your REAL AMA Superbike bild I'm most impressed!!! I'm not sure if I can accomplish that level of mods, but sure close enough.

Thanks for taking the time to share your buil here sir.

Many thanks for your kind words. Yea it took me like the better part of 18 months to get my MK. II up and running when I first built it!!!!!

I tried to keep it looking as stock as I could when it came to the bodywork, fenders, and gauges. I am glad you like it!!!!

Right now I am resting in a rehab center after having some major problems during surgery for my second hip replacement. At least I didn't kick the bucket during surgery. Just wish they could bring my pain level down to a bearable level. Don't know how long I will be here in rehab.

Like they say, It really sucks to get old!!!!!

I just hope a lot of our members will vote to make my MK. II Bike Of The Year for the second time in its life!!!!!!
