Update...

I've been buzy and haven't had much time to spend working on the bike. Always the same story, when you've got time no money, when you've got money no time.

I got around to ordering some parts from Z1, after getting screwed over by an ebayer who never sent my parts.

I've installed Dyna 3 ohm coils and suppression core wires. New carb holders and airbox hoses. New rubber dampeners for the footpegs. I've got new brake pads front and rear yet to be installed, as well as a S/S bolt kit for engine covers, valve cover gasket and half moons. I guess now I haven't got an excuse not to check valve clearance.

Have yet to take bike for a ride, it seems to idle smoother now.

I had excellent service from Z1 and very fast shipping!

Took my bike for a drive yesterday, after replacing front and rear brake pads. Seems to run decent. A little sluggish around 3500 rpm. It will pull fairly decent in fifth all the way from 20-100 mph.
Had the bike to the Kawasaki dealer for a Motor Vehicle Inspection. It passed no problem. The dealer couldn't believe the condition of the bike.
While I was there I noticed he had a stack of owners manuals on his desk. The shop opened in '78 and he was cleaning his desk out. I scored a "new" owners manual for $15.
