The customer wanted everything in black. Now I am not a fan of all black but it's what he wanted. I tried to talk him into highlighting the badging in gold but he wouldn't budge. He wasn't very happy with the gold resevoirs on the shocks. But like I said everyone has different tastes and that's what he wanted.

+1 on all who said build what you want. Nice bie to start with.
Easiest way to lower the forks is to undo the bolts holding them in the trees and lower them that way. Do be careful because it changes the geometry, alters trail which influences handling, and reduces ground clearance, you may also have to do some lowering at the rear as well to compensate. I would take it very gently and maybe lower it a quarter of an inch and ride it to see what works.

Do what you like. Personally, I like Cafe's and I have been considering once my KZ900 is done, I might find a 750 twin to build a Cafe. Check out

Hey all,
So I got back yesterday at around 1 and my buddy and I desided to rip it apart in one sitting
Here is the result. Gave the frame and forks a fresh coat of paint! I couldn't believe how much better it looked after. I do have a question, I was wondering if the tail end of my bike should be flat if I wanted to use a seat like this...

I don't know if that dip right above where the battery goes is ok. Should I cut it out and weld a bar on that would make the frame level all the way back to the end of the seat? Im almost ready to start buying parts and could not be more excited!

That is identical seat I have mounted on the all black 650 above. You do not have have the rear flat but you will have to cut the back hoop off to get to fit correctly.
