Looks great man! I love the clean look and cool trinkets you added! I made a custom honda bobber years ago but sold it. Wish I hadn't though, I loved that thing! Very similiar style like yours and never ran any front brakes either and it stopped on a dime! I guess it takes a real man to ride our type of bike? Seems like some of these gals on here wouldn't know what cool was if it crawled up their skirts and bit them on the a$$. Anyway, nice job! Any plans on another bike?

While I'm a fan of both stopping and cornering it looks good. Sometimes functionality falls to design but when it's my butt on the line I will take function. I have 3 fused vertebra and a few six-million dollar man upgrades that tells me that at least for me your bike is for eyeballs only. And thats OK! Be careful Kryptonite is everywhere. More so as you get older.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Choppers aren't my thing but I can appreciate them and you did a clean job. The simplicity of it all is what I appreciate the most.

Wowie zowie...first time here in two years and the first thing I see is my personal favorite, a chopped KZ650. Excellent work. Great lines! That project would have been great to follow in a step-by-step pictorial, too.

I'm about three weeks shy of 63 and lucky to be walking - so function over form has got to be the rule of thumb for me. And that includes, very sadly, cutting an old frame and also the shocks, and putting a smaller wheel on the back, too.

But if I was your age...

Are those tires from a small car, and how are they affecting cornering? They look great and contribute to the bike's lines.

That's no rucksack. That's an airbag for the sweetie behind me in case I hit the front brake too hard. :woohoo:

Thanks guys glad to see people get the bike. I did all the fab at my buddy's garage witch was a big help. This is an 1981 kz550 I got for $100 and rode it home $1400 bucks later this is what I got. It's one of the cheapest bike I've ever built and this is my favorite. And just got a 74 500 triple to start on got that one for $500 with a title can't wait to build a triple 2 stroke bobber , I'm going to make this one even harder to ride lol it's going to be fun thanks for looking ill try to find some more pics of the chassis chop and the cheap jig thanks
