Just a little note to say we got five runs in at the Santa Pod Dragstalgia event this weekend with the newly rebuilt Orient Express Z900.
Piloted by Pip Higham we did one steady shakedown run to make sure it ran straight and nowt fell off as it was the first time it's turned a wheel under power in 30 odd years and then knocked out a 9.1, 8.9, 8.6 and then a slightly quicker 8.6 after a bit of lock-up adjustment to improve the 60 foot..
Max speed was 165mph and it's currently kicking out around 223 horsepower.
Considering that an 8.2 was the fastest it ever ran previously we think that's not too shabby for a first outing :)
