I'm using internet explorer. I've never had issues before. I know that Firefox can have issues. As for photobucket, I've never used that.

Alright, here we go. An attempt at using Photobucket to post pictures.

Rough idea of what the rear end looks like
s1333.photobucket.com/user/650mod/media/....jpg.html?sort=3&o=4

swingarm is a little greasy from dirty hands, but it's all polished up
s1333.photobucket.com/user/650mod/media/....jpg.html?sort=3&o=3

Ride height will be lower than this- it's just jacked up with a 2x4 for now to make it a roller until the shock mounts are figured out
s1333.photobucket.com/user/650mod/media/....jpg.html?sort=3&o=2

Nice chunk of rubber on the ass end :)
s1333.photobucket.com/user/650mod/media/....jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

Mean stance, that front end is so beefy
s1333.photobucket.com/user/650mod/media/....jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

Hopefully this works...

Thanks, Ed!

I figured out my rear brake issue- turns out the guy I bought the rear brake assembly from had it labeled as the wrong year... I labeled it as a 96-98 fitment for the 900. I looked into differences in axle size and mount part #'s. Turns out the 96-97 model used the same axle (25mm), and the 98-99 used a 20mm. I have the 20mm axle, and the brake mount was from the 96-97 model year... Ordered in the proper caliper mount that'll actually fit my axle, and it'll have the right spacing. It wasted 2 hours of build time trying to figure everything out :( Back on track when the proper mount is in!

Alright, tried resizing the photos (thanks to Patton)- let's give it a shot.

These are from a while back when I had the brake mount issue.

Since then, I've made up top hat spacers for the swingarm (but forgot my camera the one night :() I'll get pictures when the shock mount is getting fabbed up- should be sometime this week.

Nice chunk of rubber on the rear now

The swingarm is polished, but it's a little greasy from putting it in place

Attachment IMGP2406.JPG not found

The back end is sitting a little high right now (and it's a little stiff :P) but this is a general idea of what she's going to look like

Nice view from the rear

Pretty mean front stance- shocks are pretty beefy

When I'm in the shop this week, I'll get some more pictures loaded up

Looking good Devin. Before you set the shock mount throw a chain on to get an idea if it will be rubbing the top of the swingarm all the time. Not a big deal, just something to pay attention to. I had to make new dogbones to raise up the back. Front end looks tough, love it.

To raise the bike (move arm down) do yoy shorten the dogbones? Thanks

Al- thanks for that tip- I'll make sure to take my chain in and get an idea of where it's sitting before we fab anything up. It's always nice to have input from people that have taken the steps to give great feedback :)

And Wayne- I have adjustable dogbones that I got with my swingarm- +/- 2 inches to play with. What I plan on doing is setting the bike up with the dogbones in the neutral setting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you shorten the dogbones, the rear end will drop (on my setup anyways).

On my setup if you shorten the dogbones it raises the rear, pulls the swingarm pivot closer to the linkage. I think it depends on the type of linkage. Sounds like a good plan Devin. You're going to be so excited once it's a roller again.

Al,

We're running the same set up for swinger/shock, so I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks :)

She's a roller now as the swingarm is mounted up properly, and the ass end is just supported with a chunk of 2x4 so I can wheel it around. Just kicking it around the shop I notice a HUGE difference in the feel- rolls so much smoother, and the turning is like silk.

I'm itching to get the rear end welded up (shock and offset) so I can start putting it back together. I'm aiming for mid September to have everything done and have her on the road. I start working full time again soon where I'm at work for a week, then have a week off. That should allow me to get quite a bit done in the time off :)

Pics will be up with the progress this week. I'm hoping to get the shock mount done so that I have a feel for the rear suspension.
