81 KZ 750 LTD Restore

Forgot to mention all the fun I had with the triple tree! Took it to a machine shop to try and get the old bearing race off, they said they didn't have anything that could grab it. So I headed home and took the ol' grinder to it. I was really nervous, as I didn't want to grind into the stem or scratch that pretty new powder coat, but it came off without too much trouble. Everything went together nicely with the new roller bearings, especially after I got the right bearings in the right race! :pinch: :pinch:

Back together! Still a little fine tuning to do (and re-cleaning), but she runs.

Keep it up! You are making a really good job with your KZ....

I wish I had my bike just like yours...so clean....

:laugh: I'm really good at taking stuff apart! Putting it all back together...well that's taken almost a year! :laugh:

Here she is just after the maiden voyage. The little one loved the ride up the driveway!

Wow! An hour and a half for that kinda tear down! Gotta be some kinda record! Wotta cutie! (bikes not bad, either!) LOL! Good work man!
