Finishing up my 74 Z1A

Hey guys, long time no post ......... lol. I have been fighting with the ass that was supposed to paint my z1a over a year ago, long story short all i ever got back from him was the frame and swing arm, which i ended up painting myself. Im going over there tonight to pick up the rest of the stuff. He still has my tank, front fender, battery ox, motor mounts, side covers, and tail, electrical box and so on. I painted the frame and swing arm matte black, installed the engine, kz 650 forks that were rebuilt and painted black, and mag wheels off of an ltd 1000. Il post pics when i can.

Seems like our members are having a run on dishonest crummy painters. Maybe rattle cans are the answer to keep away from painters who dont do the work and keep our parts..

Yup, i will be doing rattle can paint jobs from now on, o can assure you that, this was one hell of a learning experience.

But when i do have the cash i will have MarkWing paint my tins

Imm boiling right now, i just left the guys house that had my stuff. I got my motor mounts, battery box, electrical junction, front fender, headlight bucket. However i didnt get my tank, side covers or tail, he made up some phony ass excuse that they were at his work, the police officer was like, oh thats okay just make sure you get them tommorow ....... WTF?????

Where you at. I will send over a bunch of my Harley friends to his house and open a can of WHOOP ASS !!!

All the body and frame work will be sprayed flat black

Okay after making another trip over there with the state police this time, i have all my stuff back, i still need to paint the bodywork, and touch up the frame. I think im still missing a few little odds and ends, and somehow the two metal tabs that hold the gas tank on got broken off. Any ideas on a fix?

I have sent you several private messages about that 33 smoothbore body we spoke about last year. Do you still have it and are you selling it? I would be interested in the incomplete set. And anything else you are taking up to Ohio.
