kz750e '81. Cafe Croatia
30 Mar 2012 06:46
I would like to share with you this theme from motorcycle forum in Croatia. It is 1981 kz750 that will become unique cafe racer. The theme is interesting because the owner is fanatic for making custom parts. The most parts were done just from his head. Imagined in his head and carried out in practice. There is just a few aftermarket parts and lot, lot of hand work. Just look, you have plenty of photos and descriptions. I would recommend you to use Google Translate.
I dont think you ever seen such a thorough transformation. This is a link www.motori.hr/forum/index.php/topic,221551.0.html
And this is just something to draw your attention

Amazing work! I wonder how long he’s been working on it? Just the work he did on the kick starter boss & arm could take a month. And judging by some of the before pics (see one below) he did not start with a bike that had been maintained by a perfectionist. Are there any pics of the finished bike?

Absolutely gorgeous, incredible I can't believe the level of detail and care this guy has taken. Take a look at the linl provided that details this build. You will be blown away!
Makes me feel a little bad for replacing some parts on my build after seeing what this guy did by hand!

Grga is a student of mechanical engineering, has 27 years of age. He has not money to throw but he has the will and knowledge of mechanics. All of us think that he is the artist for details. Restoration began somewhere in 2008 and is still going on. End is not yet in sight but we all look forward with enthusiasm to every piece of his work of art.
Easiest way is to buy a new part, as most people do, but he reconstructs each fckn part for which we think it should be discarded in the trash. I think, people from the Kawasaki should be ashamed and proud at the same time, because he promotes and enhances their parts on some higher level
This can not be called either NOS or OEM, this belongs to a whole new category called BTO, better than original

Z news from Croatia!
Work goes on slowly but precisely. Among other parts that Grga made recently, today he spent 2 hours just to produce the custom nut of tensioner bolt for the clutch lever.

I'd love to be able to hand this guy the money that the dickheads at OCC spend on one crappy chopper build and then stand back and watch how many cool old Kaws this guy could put together.

Recently, there is new dilemma, whether in the end, Grga would drive a motorcycle or kept it under a glass bell
