Excellent results with refinishing the motor! Looks beautiful! :cheer:

All the painstaking work and effort toward removing the old finish, plus thorough prep work and cleaning, has really paid off.

Good Fortune! :)

well i didnt get any input on this before so i will try 1 more time i need to figure out how to get rid of this box but not sure how to rewire so everything will work. people say they use trailer plugs to take them of and on at diff. tracks so i am wondering if i just pull it off every thing would be fine ?? it looks like the only thing that it runs is the clutch. is there anyone that knows about these things.

Just mailed it Priority USPS. Probably see it on Saturday I would expect.

Put 260 shims on the intake side and 250's on the exhaust to start with. Adjust from there.

Intakes are 1.479" installed height.
Exhausts are 1.485" installed height.

Intake boots are sealed so you don't need to do that. You may want to pull it back apart when you do the center idler.

The nubs in the valve cover where the rubbing block was have to go too.

My interest in this is pretty simple. It's not to promote my work. You guys do plenty of that for me already and it's much, much, much appreciated...believe me ;)

This world is severely lacking in father / son projects. Too many kids growing up without the benefit of that important relationship. I lost my dad in 2003. We argued about anything you could imagine. Still, he taught me things that nobody else would have taken the time to or would have put up with my teen age attitude back then  and I will always be grateful for the effort he made.

Today, my oldest daughter is raising a son on her own. I do what I can and he's got a good home but it's no substitute for a real dad to be there.

Jeff and guys like him are not as common as they once were. I hope this project has lots of success in all the right ways :)
