You'll need a special spark plug tap. M14x1.25 . Put a little grease on it, that way the chips don't go into the cyl. Unless you are taking the head off anyway.

Sweet you guys, thanks a bunch. Yea the head is coming off. Ill do my best to clean the head itself and re-tap the spark plug hole. then the cylinder head will get honed by me. Im gonna try and put damn near nothing into this bike except the money for rings and top end gaskets. I have an interview today at a restraunt so hopefully ill get a job there and be able to pay for this stuff. Im not thinking this project will take too long so i think ill get it running and out of the garage before i start the work on my KZ1000. I may end up just paying my dad the 50 bucks plus gas it took to get this bike and keep it for myself. That way if his bike is ever not running he can ride it and if mine ever takes a dump ill have a backup. I think we scored with this bike though. The frame is completely rust free and the wiring harness looks like new. It kinda sucks that there was no hope of cleaning it up, sticking a battery in it, and going for a spin though. This thing looks burly as hell.. kinda like a muscle car :D

Well, my job interview went awesome and i start tomorrow. so now i have a source of income!! :D anyways, i gotta buy my grandma's car that i crashed before i do anything and then the 750 project will begin. In the meantime, im going to be pulling the bike apart to do some major cleaning with a fine tooth comb :) Then the head will be cut off lol i mean removed. Ill be buying a honing tool as well unless i decide to buy that other head off of Brian. Not sure yet, it all depends on how deep the grooves are on the cylinder walls. The motor was locked up at one point and the guy we got it off of said he used fuel stabilizer to break it free...
I have found all the other parts needed to get this bike back on the road. Z1E has the whole top end gasket set for about 65 bucks so i think ill be getting that. I did take a look in the crank case today and found it to be pretty clean, no water got into the oil.

sweet. I couldn't find them anywhere. Then again, my searching methods suck :D I think i have a B1? or a B3? not sure. its a 78. Its a damn good looking bike with the sidecovers on and stuff. Somebody did love that bike at one point. Theres light bars riveted to the side covers and somebody had a paint job that was white and it faded into an orange/red type color. Gonna have to get some tires for it too if i decide to keep the bike together. The thought did cross my mind to put that motor into a gocart frame and have a badass little runner for the store :) If i did decide to do that, can i post the frame build and engine build on here? Also was curious if i could swap out my swingarm and front end for the one on the 750. Im loving the spoke wheels and i have a front break setup for a 76' KZ400 that looks badass. Only problem with that is that its single disk in the front. It does have hydraulic breaks in the back though.
