1973 Z1900 ??? was created by teamcow
I have a 1973 Z1900 frame (with title) and engine case. The tag on the neck says 2-73. The frame vin is Z1F 06514, the case vin is Z1E 06752. Can anyone tell me what kind of money these two pieces might be worth? Thanks for any help.......

BTW, that was, I suspect, a real offer from wireman. Are these a bare frame and bare cases...or are there other engine/frame bits attached/included? And where are you located :) ?

In the So. CA, Nevada, AZ territory, Titled frame alone is $300. A Z1 (73-75) titled frame, up to $500 would be around the amount I'd expect out here...

Considering you have an engine with it, $500-$800.

Again, this is AZ pricing and everything KZ's are on the high end. :( Deals do come around scarcely so you have to be ready to jump when they come around.

Hell, I can't even remember when a Z1 came around here. See KZ650 & Police specials here and there but they're becoming hard to find as well...

That was me. I would go ebay all the way.
Offer it up overseas. Crate it, the serious exporters have places in California to ship to.
Light enough to man-handle, find some wood, buy some plywood. have it crated, ready to move.
I can drive right up to the fedex frieght LTL loading dock with a pickup truck and lift up a pallet with 2 guys and a dolly up the ramp etc. and ship it to another dock in the country very cheap!
I have sold many Kaw parts to a group called "Shop Airline Service" Japanese guys in CA.
If your selling and want top dollar, expose it to the world.

The 3 most needed parts, original frame, engine case with a matching #'s and title!
The rest is on ebay or aftermarket.

Too bad the whole world market is down. Nobody seems to want to buy anything!
Everyone is holding thier $$
Just my opinion!

Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

A few years ago I sold a 73 frame and cases for $1,000.00.

What's nice with the frame and cases is you can ship fairly cheap through UPS or Fedex by strapping card down the sides of the frame.

I'd ebay it. A friend of mine had a 60's Ducati roller and he listed it on ebay and ended selling it to a guy in England that restored and raced old Duc's for $1500 he didn't even have to ship it. The buyer had a friend pick it up put it in a crate and send it to him. I guess that was a lot of what this guy did was find old bikes and buy and ship them for this guy in England.

I ever find a 73 frame, she's going stone stock re-build... With an engine to boot hopefully with numbers that fit into that year....

Schwing, she wouldn't be going up for sale that's for sure... No way in hell I'd be selling it.... Where can you find these any longer...

Ah well, just me, good luck on getting what you want for it.... B)

it is worth whatever two people agree on :) ...i got a whole 73 Z-1 roller for one dollar in 2008 ,but that does not happen often.....

i would guess a low numbers 73 with cases is worth at least 1500-2000 or more someday, to the right restorer/person

no less than a thousand would be fair to the frame :) and a steal at 900 imo

location location location.....just like the old adage goes....somewhere there is someone with too much money that would make a real offer if they knew you had that imo
