Here is a suzi gs 550 bobber I built a while back.....I did some custom work on it as well as adding a few trick parts i bought. A good bobber has gotta have personal customization. You got a good bike to start with though.

On my bobbers i like:
-drag bars, clubmans, or apes.
-minimal handlebar controls
-low-pro mirrors and signals for legality
-a single speedo, nothing else
-loud pipes, exhaust wrapp is cool
-solo seat
-short fenders
-rat roddish paint
-minimal hardware (brackets, wiring, tubes, ect)

I like this bobber, kz 750 twin i belive.

My two cents on bobbers. Cheap to build, simple and basic. Appear to be unfinished, with primer or rusty and low to the ground. Cheap being the key word in my book. I try to make everything I can, because it's cheap, it's custom one of a kind and I love doing it. I know most people can't make everything themselves, but you got a great tool in this forum, ask for help. I myself, love making things and I'm sure there's lots of very talented people right here that would love to help. I made my forward controls the way I wanted them, you can't buy that. I also like to do a little digging around for cool things to use off junk stuff. I found my headlight and tail light on an old ambulance, they were originally spot lights. I gutted the small one, install a 1157 bulb in it out of a bent up trailer light, found a red lense that fit and it works great. On the headlight I lucked up and found a high/low beam head bulb that fit, for $6 at Napa. I think they look great and it only costed me the $6 for the headlight. And lastly, the thing I like about bobbers, their never finished. Good times on working on yours.:)
