My pickup coils came in. The plug was damaged so I repined the old connector with the new wires. Fired right up! thanks for the head up Lou

I think I am just about finished mock up. The rear indicators have to go. They arent quite bright enough. The old man says he has a pair of mini bullets kickin around the garage. awesome. I also got the headlight wired up. not to beeeeed.

I think mock up is almost finished. Almost time to strip it down and clean up the frame!
f*#k yeah

thanks!

First time in the fabric store. 'magine how that went. felt like I had to explain why I was in there.

I picked out some vinyl, and leather strap. Went to the walmart and got some memory foam and spray glue. lets see how this goes...

My ceiling light doesnt work :pinch: and i ran out of day light. this is how far I got.
Cut the pieces that wrap around the sides and started attaching it. Then ill stretch the sides down and rivet the vinyl to the pan.

Then comes leather lace along the seams.

Hey Heyst!

Just saw this thread for the first time. Don't know how I managed to miss it, except for the fact I've been away from KZR for quite some time with travel and work. Sweet build you have going on!

As I read through I was wondering where you might be at, the first clues were the Blue minikeg, followed by the Tim Hortons coffee cups lying about. (aboot?) I couldn't quite make out the plates on the car, but they looked like NS (no front plates needed out there?)

Sweet work on the build, looking very good, and reminding me that I've wanted to take some welding basics class for years now, and haven't gotten around to it. Soon, I think. My next project, if I ever get to it will require some fabbing.

I am hoping to take a cruise out to the East Coast towards the end of this summer. I've never seen anything past Quebec and I've always wanted to. Having lived or worked in every province Ontario and westward, I think its time to give the maritimes a visit. If you are interested in maybe taking a cruise somewhere out there, get in touch via PM. Always great to meet more KZ'ers.

Good luck with the finishing touches on the build!

Jonny

Thanks! I cant wait to break the bike down and clean everything up.

Ive never been on the roads past quebec, but Ive flown out west. I wouldnt mind riding over to Newfoundland. That would be a hoot. The roads here in NS are pretty bad. New brunswick isnt much better. A pothole outside of moncton swallowed both pass side front and rear wheels at the same time.

that being said, Slow down and enjoy the scenery B)

I got the rest stitched up. Now I have to go around it with the leather lace strap and it should look half decent. After that Im going to pull the slack in the sides out and rivet it to the bottom of the pan.

Heyst,

Don't mean to hijack your thread but I've been trying to get in touch with you over in the KZ Relay Forum. Check you Private Messages or shoot me a PM with your email address. We're in Mass. and we can get up to Maine, but we need some help connecting the Maine rider to T_Dub in Newfoundland.

PM me and subscribe to the East Coast part of the Relay Thread if you're still interested in helping out.

Permanent and perpetual noob.

Unfortunate the Maritimes will be out of the relay this year but ce sera, sera.

on another note, messing around with the idea of running a light behind the pontiac hood emblem. that was always the plan just didnt know where I wanted to mount it.

I took a stainless dog water dish and trimmed it down to the same diameter of the pontiac logo. Then put in a socket and bulb.

also picked up some gauges from phil

Picked up a different tail light. Also put a chrome bezel around the license plate bracket.
