Doug, it is bias ply. Bridgestone battlax BT45, 100/90-19.

It is getting nice in NC, will be 80's in this weekend.
KZ 900 is what I have been riding, but recently started making noise. I think it is from timing chain compornent. I really shouldn't ride before fix the problem. But again once start getting into the engine, I know i want to do more than that. So I need to get this on the road ASAP now.

I still need to get it inspected by DMV officer before I can get a tag because it is "antique" vehcle with out of state title. Old bassani pipe doesn't have a buffle in it and no chance to pass as is. it sure sounds really nice but,,,,

The tank is the one I was playing with spray paint in last yaer. The tank came with the bike is rusted out so bad. I am planning to get a body set from Z1E.Some of you may be oppose to this but title I got hold of is for 74. My plan is to get green/yellow Z1A set. I will have no plan to sell the bike, just ride it. To me it is not the objective to do completly correct "collector" restoration. Besides I like the green/yellow color scheme best.;)

That will leave 4 in 4 pipes to be complete. Timing? It is all depends on finacial situation, I reckon.:(

Sorted out some of issues.
Oil pan gasket was not quite matching the oil pan and that was causing a leak at one spot. Took oil pan off, re-aligned.
Changed oil pressure switch the one was on 73 Z1. Now the light barely tries to come on when it is revved quick. I think the way oil cooler lines are attached is causing it.
Progresso New England Clam Chowder can fit right in the pipe. :woohoo: Made one inch hole in the center and put it on the end of pipe. Now it is not as loud as it was and no popping when it is off throttle.

Nope. Once get going on the road, they vibrate. Have to squeeze on clutch lever to see what's behind. They are not OEMs. Wondering how much better these are. www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=2640

Got a body set from Z1E.
As I mentioned earlier, got the bike with no title for $350. After searching a title, I found 74 Z1-A title. So I decided to get 74 Green/yellow body set on. The frame is replacement frame without VIN stamp on it. Not correctly restored but it is a keeper.;)

Candy color is very nice!

Thanks, Craig. I guess you didn't get you that GS1100.
You should get your 73 going!;)
This wasn't that good shape but at least there was no fire damage:P

I just opened another can of worms with 73 as you saw.
